It's Friday... A busy week ends, but mother nature decides to soak us for the end of the week.
Picked Oscar up then off to Barnes close for a change with slippers, raining steadily poured down, its quite eery down there...
Picked Charlie and a reluctant beau up, she doesn't like the rain, and off to m&M's nice walk to duck pond... Well it's wet enough for ducks. With woman's hour for company we had nice walk and saw the quacks !
Next I picked Humphrey up, don't have him very often but I've a soft spot for him... I trained Humphrey as a pup, off we went to harbourne grove park as the rain gave us all it had. We had the whole park to our selves. Humphrey ran and jumped straight into the pond with Oscar and bramble watching on he scattered the ducks, quickly I produced a ball and I had his attention... Poor bramble in her new coat still looked washed out...
Next visit was to see Bess in Romsley the rain still hammering down both Bess and Oscar chased each other around the park...
C&B picked up for the afternoon walk as we went to see tiko, cotteridge park normally teaming with walkers and squirrels was empty as we trudged around, last walk with m&m and me and Oscar soaked and worn out finished for the week.

30.1.14 snow way !
With the sky full of snow today first walk was up 'my hill' Oscar fudge Monty and Milo, the wind picked up as Rubery was getting a covering. Fortunately it didn't settle. Woman's hour had Germaine Greer on , by she was worth the entrance fee... Quite entertaining she ended the interview by saying, yes I was a bit of a sex gymnast when I was younger..... But it's been a while since I had my ankles behind my ears !!!....woof woof 😅
Next stop was to kings heath with poppy Bo and Sid... nice wander down to the canal, a group of young kids about 5 ish all with their yellow hi vis vests on and two teachers in tow. Funny thing was they where all holding a rope as they walked 😁
The snow stopped and had a break for a bit, then the rain started as our walk ended.
Minnie was next down to the quarry, she's so mischievous …. Typical puppy, she enjoys winding the other dogs up so they'll chase her.
As we walked back, I passed a bloke with a young child, the kid giggled towards the dogs as we got closer, hello i said, do you recognise me the bloke said... No I replied just being civil..... Who's civil he said !
Off to Alvechurch to see hermies, allot better I think as the snow started again we walked around the park... Early pick up for goku this afternoon we walked down to the car track around the industrial estate... Radio 4 afternoon play was excellent, hard hitting tbh !
Charlie and beau was next as we wondered to the bingo hall, rain stopped but still freezing... Bet it didn't get above 2°c today...
M&M had last walk up passed hawthorns club as the snow came back.
Busy day and cold to the bone !

29.1.14 half's
Boy it was cold today... Started off the weather not sure what to do... So it decided to rain !
Up waseley hill this morning with Oscar slips Charlie and beau... Oscar and Charlie roaring through the mud rolling down the hills.. Saw a bloke with 5 springers then two woman came onto hill with two more, so 7 springers ! Wonder what that is..... Is it the same as magpies ???
Paws dried and dropped home Oscar and I went off to Rubery, rain coming down more now but still warm, we went up the bridal path... Found a flexi lead ... nice ☺.. Milo getting old and is slowing down, noticeable more in the cold.
Off to cannon hill next with fudge Bo and olive, Oscar too... The pitches where so boggy so we walked up to the stream, it was like white water, not many people about today which is normal when weather is bad, the goal posts had about 20 gulls sitting on them, funny seeing gulls so in land, they follow the rivers and canals then stay put.
Listened to my book quite a lot today, getting interesting...
Afternoon had three half hour walks first was with new recruit Minnie, I took her over to Romsley with Oscar to meet Bessie, now dogs have a pecking order and that changes depending whose on the walk, Bess is a 4 year old boarder collie, I've been walking her 3 years now. . Bess is the top female dog, self proclaimed, she likes to try and put dogs in their place so meeting Minnie as she's just a pup will do her good..
We got to the park and Bess had her heckles up, I had Minnie on a flexi lead to let her run, bit of a growl run and push together and they where trying each out ! After a few runs Bess got a bit to rough and Minnie thought it was more play so I sat them down , ears down eyes looking up they got told off... Like telling kids off !
Off you go then... They ran off, bumping and chasing growling again ! Kids !
Over to see hermies, poor injured soldier he sprained his ankle so on light walks, AW bless him he looked so miserable...😕
C&B then over to a freezing cofton as the rain was coming down horizontal now, ended with Monty Milo and I was wet though and froze... Dropped a tired damp Oscar home... then a damp cold me went home !

28.1.14 different views..
Early start as busy again.... First walk with slippers up to waseley.. Miserly and cold so fully waterproofed... slips not to fussy in the cold and wet.
We, I walk around sometimes with my eyes closed so to speak, I have regular walks and sometimes a view I haven't seen appears today was that day... View over Rubery onto Longbridge, nothing special but pleasing... Awww
Then over to cofton M&M and fudge, drizzly and windy, dogs had the whole park hardly anyone about, as we walked off a woman jogged towards us, in full new years resolution gear, her staffy cross ran beside her, when she got close she shouted, she's OK with other dogs, yes these are OK too I replied. Then bizarrely she stopped next to us shooting as she still had her earphones in buzzing away, and continued to jog.... On the spot ! !
A very surreal experience, off to Bromsgrove next with poppy to pick Daisey up, for a change we risked the cow field, it was very boggy, the dogs were a bit unsure so I put them back on the lead, made a sharp exit onto the park, bumped into Doreen with Jessie, now last week Doreen said I looked like the pied piper, her friend winked at me a couple of times, I thought to myself, this old dogs still got it !
Anyway I said to Doreen today, hey your mates a funny one she kept winking at me?, she laughed and said no she just had some new teeth that morning and was chewing then in !!!!
Off to take Minnie out next a new dog to the pack, she was a little nervous but lovely, good on lead she'll be great. Next was four dogs jack hiedi thelma and harry up to renal hill all pulling in different directions.. I was up to harbourne with Odin, tiko and bramble the sun was out and we had a lovely walk through the woods, bramble chased a bloke in a mobility scooter, funny !
Charlie beau with m&m up renal hill which gives great views over the whole of Birmingham and day was ending...
Last walk with goku we started in the daylight, it is getting lighter nights and ended in the dusk after good walk to the car track... Nice chat with bev, we are going on dragons den with chocolate flavoured sugar in tea.... sure it'll work 😆

27.1.14 rainbow day
Early start for a Monday... Not walks tho... Dropped my daughter off in town... First walk was with Monty and Milo nice wander down to reservoir sun was out.... Some days I can go all day without chatting to anyone and some days chatty all day, today was a chatty day, but I just didn't feel like chatting maybe a Monday thing....
Then of to sanders park with poppy and daisy... The rain started and without my waterproof got a bit wet!! Sky gave us a lovely rainbow to dry us out... With my book on I daydreamed away..
Lunch time to see a new customer, Minnie staff 8 months old.. Lovely dog, joining the pack from tomorrow... Then down to Alvechurch and along canal another long boat moored up, chimney smoking away.. Wonder what it's like to live on a boat ? Long I bet 😁
Dogs had a good run it was so muddy though. …poor hermies got a limp, checked his paw front left ... AW bless him...
Off to six dogs next for garden wee garden was to muddy for them... This drove them mad as squirrels taunted the dogs playing in the trees... Or should it be drove them nuts !
Walk up to waseley with Monty Milo Charlie and beau to end the day I passed three people a bloke with rolled up jeans and flip flops, a woman with a ski suit... and a couple in matching coats with two westy's.... and you know I'm sure I was at the end of that rainbow !

24.1.12 worn out
The day started cold and drizzling, not a good combo when tired ... first walk was with slippers, muddy walk to Romsley fisheries, bless she doesn't like the mud... Then off to cofton with Monty Milo Charlie and beau, WH discussion started with ".. if men where to take on more part time hours would women benefit ?"
Bloody right they would... And I'm more than happy to apply..😁
Bumped into Jamie, dog groomer on the park, had a nice catch up, wish he'd sort that cough out, he's had it for ages... I nagged him about it... Gotta go to the quacks!
Over to Rubery with four dogs as rain stopped but wind picked up... Radio was poor today so book was on...
The afternoon brought more rain, nice walk through harbourne to see the ducks broke it up... Final walks done and another week over
Have a good weekend all !

23.1.14 mush !
My busy day started as it was to finish, walking a husky. First walk was with Odin nice morning but a bit misty we went up to Hayes field, good run.. As I drove to M&M the rain started.... Grrrr BBC weather missed that eh ! We walked up the to the bridal path quite busy even though raining... Back listening to my book, I drift away and before I know it I'm somewhere else 😐
Off to Alvechurch next and the sun was out as the wind picked up... Which blew the clouds away and blue sky's where above us.... The grumpy angler was there again, dogs are used to him now so just walk passed.... The roar of the M42 the wind the odd voices and workman filled the air, often I just like to listen to noise.... We walked under the motorway and the sun's reflection lit up the normally dark eery still canal ...woof woof .. hermies barks sure he knows it echoes ... before I knew it utter silence crept up... You couldn't hear a thing, love it when that happens...a bird tweet a duck splashes and a smile on my face.... No other job in the world gives you this !
Back to Rubery next to walk four dogs, a lady stopped me asking if I knew anyone wanting to buy some American bull dogs... Then a bloke asked what do you feed those lot on... Quite random.
Next Bo and Odin again and of to see Sid, good walk along canal in kings heath and through the muddy wood, quite nice down there..
Listened to the Archers, which was very good today....
As we walked back, allot slower than we got there, I noticed a young woman, now I ain't no Gok Wan, but she had a fashion by pass... I also know glasses are a fashion statement, but these she had on ! Huge black frames pointed at corner , I've seen better welding goggles !!
Now to walk C&B we had nice walk and more of my book, now I'm tiring now so brain not fully working, as I got to the front door, put key in and it wouldn't turn, I looked at the key ring and said to myself... That's the wrong keys... For a few seconds I thought how am I going to get in.... Penny finally dropped and I got right keys...
M&M had nice splodge up hill then off to last walk, another senior moment as I queued at the lights, you know when you see a reg plate and think it's a personal type, but not sure what it's supposed to be.... Well normally they kindly put underneath what it is... Well I starred at this reg, then looked at the words under 'guy salmon' then thought how the hells that guy salmon.... Then realised it isn't and guy salmon is a car supplier ....der !
On last walk with goku and we went over the fields so he could have a run and mouse hunt... It was lovely up there unbelievable we where in Frankley !
So I ended my walks as I started with a husky...
Last call was to the bunnies to clean and feed,
A lovely busy day dreamy day

22.1.14 making 'O's'
Oscars last day, he's off on holiday for a week tomorrow... Day started so foggy. First walk with slippers up waseley and it started to drizzle.
Funny how dogs are like their owners, slips and Oscar are same type king Charles spaniel and similar age about 4, Oscars running around rolling in any smell, woofing at slippers to play... running into hedges chasing squirrels, and slippers walks within 6 feet of me, walks around puddles stays put and never in the mud and never barks... Guess which one has a 84 year old owner????
Off to duck pond next with M&M fog had lifted and sun shining as dogs had a lovely walk...woman's hour as usual kept me entertained, today's quote was "..a woman has a million things effecting her libido..a man, ...well its on or off !.."
With me switched on 🙌 I was off to cannon hill...the pitches where so boggy as olive splashed thru turning mud coloured, fudge playing with his stick and Oscar plodding along... I had my first 'you've got ye hands full' of the week today a elderly bloke who walked almost sideways only swinging on arm ?... after explaining I was a dog walker he was one of those people who repeats what you say....
Me ... they're not mine I'm a dog walker
Loppy.... They're not yours... Your a dog walker ?
Me...yes I walk them for other people
Loppy... so you walk them for other people then?
You can guess the rest of the conversation eh !...I ended by saying I must go now got to get on... Loppy replied must get on then.... Bye I quickly said and shot off...🚶
Fed bunnies then went to Romsley to walk Bess and meet poppy and owner... With some good news 😁
Next walk was in Alvechurch with Charlie Beau Oscar and hermies along the canal grumpy angler was there... Obviously I let the dogs go over and sniff him and his stuff to his annoyance ... further down the canal three new boats moored up, 2 long boats and a cruiser, one of the long boats was painted black with Gothic ghouls bats and dragons painted on then in graffiti "the sky lark is under repair"
On the way back the four muddy dogs said hello to grumpy angler and had to jump up !
When I dropped hermies the next door neighbour's had locked themselves out.. Bless an elderly couple in their 80's the woman asked if I could get the spare keys, after phoning the owner she told me where they were.. The couple stated arguing it was so funny
How did you lock the front door then and not have the keys .. blah blah the old guy shouted... She muttered then shouted at him just bloody shut up you can stop out on the path !
Last walk with Monty and Milo and the sun still was shining...the topic on the radio was about fitness, as you get older. One exercise for ladies who don't want to drop out (whatever could they mean) is to sit on the floor and make a 'O' shape with your hips and every third one Strike it out ! Ooooo the fun I had practising as I walked 😉
Nice day all round

21.1.14 cars...
Early start today... In the fog I picked Oscar up then off to see Odin... Odin was my second customer when I started, he was a 10 week old Siberian husky.. A cheeky ball of fluff... Now 3 years later he's 5 stone and stands to my waist!
Good walk to park for a run... Then off to a muddy waseley with slippers where the clip board gang where about again...
We then went to cofton park....now I and everyone I know calls it cofton park but I saw a sign calling it cofton common! First time I've ever called it that.
Good run around 'park' for Monty Milo fudge and Oscar. We saw the puppy again today, ruby a 5 month king charlse, same markings as Oscar 🐕
Running late as chatting too much... In between woman's hour.... it was freezing up there as WH talked about the menopause and flushes... Wish I'd had a flush brrrr I was froze !❄⛄❄
After dropping all back we went off to sanders park... Poppy daisy and Oscar in tow...I started my new book " The lies of Locke Lamora" last year I promised myself to read a book each month, now I'm a lazy reader... So I listen to them, audio books 😀 . I read, well listened to 13 books last year plus many and many radio 4 afternoon plays.... how cultured am I !
Off to harbourne next osc, tiko and bramble good walk to queens park for a run, busy this afternoon as the sun was out, two elderly ladies stopped to see the dogs, I always get stopped with these three little cuties. . .
Popped into the rabbits 🐇 🐇 to feed and quick clean then back to Rubery, as it darkened and the sun dropped down. Went onto the golf course boy was it boggy ! Good run as it started to drizzle...
Final walk with goku and Oscar raining as usual... Goku somehow jumped out of his harness had a quick sprint then realised I wasn't next to him ears down and a smile on his face waggy tail he trotted back!
So today I've saw four convertibles with tops down, all driven by old blokes, I've saw a rolls Royce, two land rover vogue driven by woman at school gates... And a fiat 500 with eye lashes ! What's all that about... And to make it worse a bloke was driving !🚗👀
A busy busy day....

20.1.14 biscuit war
Here we go another week starts after scrapping the car I was off. A beautiful morning sun out, blue skies but chilly... first visit after picking Oscar up was to feed the bunnies, all good little play in their run.
Of to beacon next with m&m, owner was home not well... Awww, chest pains, off up we went onto the frosty grass... Slipped ! arms out flipping over, on to my side spun on to my knees and back up... no worries it's just how I roll 🏃
Then off to sanders park, Oscar fudge hermies and daisey... Good run and play, its a nice park.. half way around saw a fellow dog walker waving and walking speedily towards me, so I changed direction to meet her, pulled earphones out, and she flew passed.... Sorry can't stop I'm in a hurry... Oh thought you wanted me !
Then bumped into an old customer, she laughed at me saying you look like the pied piper in that hat... Here's me thinking I was Indian Jones....
Nice walk to waseley in afternoon, where I saw a woman in shorts and t shirt with her dog.., must have been having a hot flush! Followed shortly by a bloke in flip flops... Who says it's normal ????
Back to Rubery for the last walk, sick owner was now feeling allot better, good I said what do you think it was??? My bra was to tight !!! Funny 😁
As I drove home had a chocolate digestive and short bread... Now custard cream is the king of biccies.... but these two come a close second...
Lovely day with laughs along the way !

16.1.14 bob and sway
Nice start to the morning picked Oscar up and bumped into ex pat nice chat... Then off to feed the bunnies, let them in run while cleaned out the hutch, one of them wouldn't come out of the tube... Mmmmm finally got him.
Then off to Frankley five dogs walk to the car track nice and quiet then along cycle path.... Don't some people walk funny, me I walk perfectly obviously so today was people watching on walking...
Woman's hours was funny today, lads your missing such a laugh... Today's discussion was on pubic hair... Apparently hair is back in, the Brazilian Hollywood are out... one woman said the 'bush lash' is upon us !!! I was laughing so much my specs almost fell off, 😂
So I ripped my vajazzle off and let the bush loose !
Slightly chaffed I was off to kings heath, Oscar bo and Sid, nice walk to the canal then through the wood.. It's very muddy bit of a mistake, dogs don't seem to be bothered tho... Bo and Oscar fascinated by the ducks, Sid not interested at all... We saw three blokes just standing looking at each other all drinking, nothing would make me want to drink warm flat cider or larger in the cold... Strange eh !
We then went to Alvechurch fudge Oscar and hermies along the canal, yes me fav walk ATM... The fish where restless today for some reason they where popping out, hermies thought it fascinating.
M&M afternoon walk and yes it started to rain, sure it waits for us... Then over to goku, we saw 'lard lite' from the other day, so I let him stroke Goku, and smirked as we walked off, his trousers covered in dog hair !! The rain got heavy as the walk went on, then as quick as it started it stopped and then the thinnest rainbow lit up the sky...
So today's walkers... There's the
Bopper - mainly male bends knees too much and then lifts heel right off the floor
Swayer - side to side walkers hands hardly move, often seen with long haired ladies and strange blokes
The Calvin Klein - always male, walks with legs in front of body toes pointing outwards one hand on crouch and other hand texting
Buggy - here there is two types the straight as as board slow step swishing head gliding walker and then the bent double stomping and pushing as if its a ton weight walker , the latter is also seen in male form in supermarkets when pushing a trolley.
I'm off tomorrow peeps so have a lovely weekend ❤

15.1.14 half way
Just a quick blog today folks... Miserly morning first walk on waseley car park was full... Not with walkers.. Office type peeps..maybe a clipboard management bonding day ...
Slippers and Oscar so muddy ! Off to reservoir next with Charlie Beau Monty Milo and Oscar there's loads of ducks swans and the odd trolley in there ... quite nice around there.. Often someone fishing, mind wouldn't eat anything out of there!
Wee break for six dogs and I moped up then off cannon hill.. Bit of excitement.. Armed police running around shouting and cable tieing people up... then a bloke with a clip board, maybe from waseley this morning, popped out stood the crook up untied him and went through... Guns dangling, yes it was a training exercise ! Olive and Bo decided then to lie in the muddy puddles nice for two white dogs...
Afternoon radio 4 play, second part of missing was so sad, fighting the tears back....😭 but I manned up... Just.
Afternoon turned dark and rained on last walk... Typical!

14.1.14 white
Frosty morning and icy roads, unfortunately on way to first walk came across a lad who had come off his bike, skidded on ice, poor soul he was white as a sheet. Luckily a woman had stopped and phoned an ambulance ... as I walked passed with Oscar and slippers he didn't look to good, went up waseley hill slippy all over the place. Fast response was there with him putting a collar on him, I offered to look after his bike, he muttered his brother was coming for it... Bless he was in shock.... Hope he's OK..
Off to cofton next .. five dogs good run today quite busy saw three puppies on the fields..for all those wanting to see me in"the hat"
Picture will follow... Think it's my best side 😎
Off to sanders little farm next good walk with poppy and daisy.. Yes got the top three question are these all yours today... Nice woman chatted for a while... She was moaning about the mud !
Next off to harbourne and Bailey's last walk...😔 good play ..in the wood and dip in stream...shame its baileys last walk...radio 4 play was sad..did you know 250 thousand people go missing each year in the UK ?
Popped in to feed the bunnies on way back ...
Fancied a cuppa soup with my sandwich... Note to self if using normal flask cup... Make sure it is empty before putting cuppa soup in...
Coffee flavoured vegetable cuppa soup and cheese bun... Nice... Unusual !
On way back to Rubery... The freezer is gone!!! The council in their wisdom have removed it from the verge... Can't believe it... It was becoming a local land mark... Whatever next cleaning up.
Must say you could furnish a couple of houses with the amount of furniture left out... Do people not bother to take stuff to the tip themselves???
Nice afternoon walk with Monty and Milo up to golf course, nice little run on the 3rd hole ... and a dig in the bunker..!
Last walk with goku here I turned white... He's Moulting and within 2 mins my black trousers where furry ! Got a few strange stares ..well more than normal...
Dropped a tired Oscar home and Tuesday was done

13.1.14 songs in my head
Here we go again... Nice day planned all the way through... No stops.
Picked Oscar up and sun was shining off we went... First walk up to Waseley hills.. quiet hardly anyone around, have people slept in today????
Nice walk up we had the hill to ourselves... on the way down the path stretches ahead, I saw a woman with a small dog complete with coat, the dog that is... as we neared saw she was texting away not looking at her dog or ahead where five dogs and I where on the way... Her dog crouched and done her business! She went to pull away but then seen me... Mmmmmm I knew and she knew I saw her dog leave a deposit... She then tried the "fakey" ... this is when a dog owner who never picks up the dog mess, bends down and pretends to pick it up....
So out came the black poo bag, same one she's had for years no doubt.. Bent down and started to pretend, what she didn't notice was I'd quickened to be within 6 feet of her... She glanced up and I just stood there...."ooooo that's a sloppy one she's left you..." I stayed put until her fingers where warmed up!!! As I walked passed I said"...bit like curry sauce!" A cough and rething noise came from her. 😂 💩 ..that'll teach her !
Little things please me !
Off to a new park just before lunch time, I've passed it many times but never went, Selly Oak park.. A lovely park with plenty of open spaces few trees, park, picnic areas etc... Busy with walkers but loads of paths going in every direction. Most dogs on leads, probably due to kids being around, there's an old canal "lapal" which sadly has ran dry and in need of attention, interestingly the signs and information around the park are very good, the dogs played and seemed to enjoy it.... As we finished a elderly gentleman walked towards us, very well dressed and said hello sausage, I smiled and said good morning... He was talking to the dogs I think ???
A quick call to feed some rabbits, and the morning turned to afternoon....
It became a bit overcast this afternoon, first walk to sanders park through the woods it was extremely muddy today...
Then off to Alvechurch and along one of my favourite walks the canal, there was two new boats moored up today.... It started to get darker as the clouds came over and rain quickly followed, so off came the sun glasses... As hermies was dropped home I sat in the car and thought where my normal glasses...??? Every pocket checked and checked again, down the side of the seat checked, pockets checked again, then lent over to check under the seat, briefly saw myself in the mirror.... And yes I had them on!!!! ... Definitely getting old 🙆
I leave you with the song that has been stuck in my head all day, on repeat !... At one point caught myself singing out loud... See if you can guess which one....
"But now there's nowhere to hide,
since you pushed my love aside I'm out of my head, ..."

10.1.14 that Friday feeling......
It's ssssssss Friday....I love my job however I'm knackered by the end of the week, car millage about 480 and walking 80 !!
Today started with Oscar and slippers, slips has a half hour walk 3 times a week but I spend an hour there, dawn is 84, ex French teacher from local high school Colmers, her husband was the head teacher there, I chat to Dawn after the walk and she always has a job for me to do!... the walk today was up waseley visitor centre in the freezing mist, Sadly Dawn is getting forgetful. Each visit this week, me with my new Indiana Jones hat on, Dawn has laughed and said howdy where's ye horse😁 we laugh and she says what day is it.... Today's job was checking her oil level....all fine
Next over to duck pond via Morrison's with 5 dogs, on this walk there are plenty of people about, I love to people watch while listening to the radio... I regularly put little stories to the people I see, I must start taking my ear phones out when someone stops to talk to me... Today a man asked, I thought " ye lard lite" a light I replied..."log light" as he pointed to the dogs, I took out one plug and said dogs don't smoke...
"Dogs smoke!.....no de ye dogs bite!" Awwwww no they're fine...as he fussed them and Charlie almost knocking him over
Then to Cotterige park for the dogs to chase the squirrels... They look so puzzled when the squirrels disappear.... And so here is today's wind up, I'm sorry but just can't help myself at times...
Two retired ladies walked over to me, all dressed up as ramblers!
We chatted,.. And yes they asked "are all these all Yours?" After I told them about the dog walking, they told me they'd both joined a walking club and as I walk all day did I have any tips on walking long distance.... Yes I replied (sincere face) I use the simple but highly efficient method of.... One foot in front of another... Then repeat..
The look on their faces was priceless 😉
Back to Romsley this afternoon for another bright but chilly walk over the park, I had to hose Bess down after her run she was so muddy.
I ended the day with Monty Milo and Oscar around Rubery, put euro lottery on our travels, at the mini market the dogs get plenty of fuss there!
I leave you with this... While walking towards the dentist I saw a car park up a father and son got out the lad was about 12, .. they held hands as they walked towards the dentists, the look on both faces was loving, care and trust.... Such a beautiful sight..!
Have a great weekend.

9.1.14 not so thirsty Thursday !
Such a lovely day today first walk of the day was passed the local high school... Not a good idea!
Tell me why school girls need 3 or more bags ! There was four young girls waiting to cross the road as I walked down the path with the dogs, each had three bags at least... One had a sack bag over her right shoulder, her left arm like a tea pot spout she had a huge brown bag tucked under her arm which was as big as her body and went down to almost passed her knees.... in fact it was longer than her skirt, then in the bend of her arm had a bag saying little black bag... Then like a waitress she had a mobile phone the size of her head in her hand!!
Do they stop over night at school now a days...why so many bags???
As they walked towards me one of them looked at me and said while crossing four fingers "hash tag dog man!". ... did make me chuckle😁
Off to kings heath for next walk sun still shining a lovely walk up to red lion pub with Oscar bailey and Sid... Nice stroll... The amount of houses still with Christmas decorations up got my attention.. The most common is the lights icicle type hanging from windows .. what's the chances they'll be there all year.. Then there was the garden bush or tree with tinsel or the odd bauble still handing.. Funniest was a deflated homer Simpson Santa Claus stuck to the pebble dash 🎅
Dogs walked and left with a treat I was off to Alvechurch with Oscar fudge and Hermie's another great run along the canal, here we saw two blokes fishing, one happy the other grumpy... Happy one greeted the dogs and fussed them few hundred yards and grumpy choo'd them away...bit peeved at this I walked over to him ...all right there" as he continued to wave this hand...then I apologised "so sorry for disturbing you" smiled and walked off.....what he couldn't see...but I could was behind him fudge was cocking his leg on his ruck sack !
What goes around comes around !
Last walk in frankly with Oscar, worn out by now, and Goku.. the amount of brollies we seen... If I'd a pound for every one I saw I'd be a rich man... Well would have had six quid today.
Dogs walked and dropped home.... Such a nice day.

8.1.14 mid week Wednesday
Well today started off complete opposite to yesterday... Today was bright and dry... First walk up Waseley hill not many out today, love going up there early can see for miles, brief smile as the M5 truggs along. My office is open plan 😀...
Then off to my hill... Not technically my hill but I call it that... Real name is Rednal hill, looks over Rubery golf course five dogs and I where above the clouds... Well a bit hill mist...good run and play, Charlie loves the heather rolling and diving about.... Woman's hour accompanied me..men you are missing a treat here.
Walking back I had my first of my top three questions I'm always asked
And in at number 3... it's..."you like dogs then!" ...do do do do duh a none mover at number 2 the classic" .. you got your hands full there"
And the dog walkers all time number 1 ".. are these all yours ???"
Off to cannon hill at lunch time with Oscar bailey and olive, olive a westy loves the mud and soon was mud coloured! A dip in the stream on way back washed most of it off....a must as owners have a cream carpet !
This afternoon a quick walk in Romsley when the rain started, I saw such a weird thing a woman in PJ's and dressing gown washing a car ... Strange is not the word!
Then off to Alvechurch, I really like Alvechurch walking along the canal, ear plugs in and the archers on I was in my own world, well Ambridge 😆 the dogs playing chasing each other, they then all stopped and looked at me, I wondered why .... then two bloody joggers ran passed either side of me...! Swine's...
Soaking wet we headed back to Rubery for final walk, I saw the dumped fridge it's now lying down... Must have been tired, someone thoughtfully has taking out the three freezer drawers put one on top and filled with more rubbish, the other two just lying on the verge, one with a empty can of pop and strangely a rolled up nappy, maybe that was frozen???
Last walk with m&m to flyover as school run in full flight,
Nice day albeit wet through again...

7.1.14 Busy Tuesday
Drizzling morning so fully waterproofed my new Indiana Jones hat in full use...I had my snood half cock'd too cover my ears, it was a bit tight but did keep the slight double chin pulled up.
By 930 first walk done and off to cotfon park...five dogs in the rain had a great run and play.... One bloke walked over to me and said "these yours?" Before I could answer he walked off....AW well...listened to woman's hour gotta be in touch with my feminine side 😄 funny quote one for the day "what is your new years resolution... To get a thigh gap!!!" Spend rest of walk looking for these... Saw 12 for day and counting!
11 o'clock dog sit (garden wee break) for six dogs and it pee'd down... So mop out doing my domestic duties !
Afternoon went to Sander's park stream was too wild so no jumping across, an old woman shouted at me"put those dogs on a lead" naaa use them to round up old codgers I replied ...she laughed and came over for a chat...
More radio and and radio 4 switched to radio 2 which brought second quote of the day can I say hello to God and everyone below !
Started to rain heavy as took four more dogs to harbourne woods , into the trees to get out of rain.. dogs love the woods and the path way through is well maintained here I met a man with one arm he has a new dog a rescue lurcher female lovely natured..the dog, maybe he's lovely too...anyhow funny thing was when I chatted to him if I moved slightly he moved with me like a mirror, well I started moving more, I'm easy pleased... His poor head was left right up down...then I saw a badge on his lapel which said " look at me I'm deaf and lip read"
After dropping these all off, back to Rubery and M&M last walk and we had hail stone ..can you believe it. Off to last walk of the day in more rain, poor new hat was that soaked and just slipping passed my ears, such a good look, as i got there my customer was lugging a sack of potatoes as big as her out of her car! Goku and Oscar had the pleasure of final walk in the rain...nice walk and met up with my son to end the day...
Oh BTW after my shower I caught myself looking in the mirror to see if I had thigh gap 😁

6.1.14 Here we go...
Back to full days....started off as a nice day but by mid day wind and wet...and weather was bad too !😆
When I pick the dogs up the houses are empty...first walk at 9 this morning the house was in darkness as I walked through to the kitchen to get the dogs the customer was there... I almost passed out !!!
What you doing here.. Well I know you live here but.....
So after changing my underwear three dogs and I went off...
Quiet morning to be fair for first walk, then off to fox park ( no foxes mind) Quick monsoon so waterproofs on and the morning turned to afternoon... four dogs wet and worn out and the od-de-dog smell wafted through the dog mobile.
Afternoon started with dog sit or rather let out in garden for six dogs, bit muddy but they're such lovely dogs 3 maremmano (Italian sheep dogs) 2 greyhounds and a staffy..all back in (one of them had chewed a cd up, enya ...don't Blame them to be fair)..moped up , I'm a good lad then off to the park... the stream was high today and the three stepping stones under water... Hop skip and splodge and I was over... Those white rapids couldn't stop this intrepid dog walker...
Dropped all home and an hour break so popped to shops carpark. . listened to the archers and had a cuppa.. Afternoon radio 4 play wasn't to interesting so I loitered in the shop and made use of their toilet, always feel guilty just using toilet so always end up buying something... More like spend a quid than a penny !
Last walk up to golf course and the day ended..dropped Oscar home and had my last cuppa on way back...

3.1.14 End of the week
Well end of the week already...could get used to this 2 day week.
Two double walks and a single walk.. Nice day but threatening to rain so water proofs at the ready.
I'm dog tired today, quite apt eh...normal walks today I passed 4 people this morning and said hello to them all, 3 replied and one miserable git just ignored me....fancy that !
Middle walk went to field I ain't been to for about ten months, car need MOT so done a walk while the 'dog-mobile' was sadly failing...grrrrr
Apparently essence of wet dog and held by hair isn't enough to pass...never mind got nothing else to spend my hard hard earned money on 😕
Drizzle welcomed us in the afternoon, but doesn't put us off....radio two then Archers helped the week end..
Diary all up to date and accounts done ooo efficient me.

2.1.14 first day back
Back to walking today... It was nice to see the dogs again...after ten days.
First poo-pick up of the year goes to Monty!
Monty and Milo two of my oldest dogs (and customer) they had new coats from Santa, muddy paws type back straps where poor so had to use Velcro strap over the coat..
Funny seeing who had what on show from Santa... I had my new hat, yes aka Indiana Jones of the dog walking community...without the whip (that's saved four weekends ☺)
People with new hats coats bright headphones clean bright shoes and trainers kids on bikes scooters etc....
After M&M off to walk Sid and Fudge good run along canal bumped into the local cider drinker, today's 2 litre bottle of choice was Strongbow...
Then bit of a break so bit shopping and then off to Charlie and Beau nice walk but place was littered with two weeks and Christmas black bags which had been torn apart by cats or foxes...why people put them out just to pile up. Can't believe why people if their bags are ripped open and spilling out they don't clean it up...and why council don't use wheelie bins...
Last call back to M&M for half hour walk sun had gone down and it was getting chilly... Nice day all in all.
Saw 3 golf brollies broken 1 black pop up brollie 1 fridge freezer 1 fridge 1 jumper 1 pair PJ's and sock's.....
Roads where clear, nice first day...

new years day....
Today is new years day and no walks...well none with dogs , had to walk to the pub as left car there last night...such a great night!
Diary done for tomorrow just three walks 8 dogs booked in so nice easy day...got some rabbits booked in next week for ten days...
Deffinantly not taking any new customers on...I was knackered last year and 12 hour days just too much at my tender age..
Don't get me wrong I enjoy every minute, but worn out.
I've been walking dogs and general pet care for three and half years now and its been wonderful, sometimes the solitude is good other times give me too much time to think...not a good thing at times.
Anyway 2014 is my year for sure!
