31.3.14 blue lights and PJ's

Summers here... Well light nights.
Warm hazy day started with Oscar Monty and Milo... Slow walk to duck pond... Milo plodding on. . and stopped 3 times by old biddies wanting to say hello to Oscar and Monty, me and Milo the old grey ones didn't get a look in !
Next picked Bruce up and over to see Charlie and beau, sun had broken through it was warm, good walk to bingo hall beau painting all ready.. Saw my first PJ's of the day, a woman pushing a buggy, she must have been late for something as still had her dressing gown on, through her coat and ugg boots on and marching off with kids in pursuit !!
Next to sanders to see Daisey, Osric little legs came too, poppy off this week. Daisey's owner was in, pointing to his flashing blue tooth ear as normal and mouthing "I'm on the phone" as we went off to park, it was a lovely day, as we walked down an ambulance flew by, startled poor Oscar. Good run on a busy park and a dip in the stream as we walked through the woods. Daisey home and back to rubery we went, a second fast response came towards us , not another one... Minnie was next and after she and Bruce wrapped each other up we went to quarry still lovely and warm. . dropped Osric home and picked fudge up, no. 2 PJ's of the day now as it's only half one almost still morning... Another woman putting black bags out and then deciding to potter in garden.. Well it is renal ;-)
Hermies next and his owner was in too, off we went to canal lovely walk as usual, saw a long boat with a sorry of parking fine ! And then two swans getting it on then do a funny little dance together with those necks ! Fudge as usual went into the canal swimming after the ducks and Bruce tried... And failed bless..
Last walk of the day and m&m around the village and two chops on motor bikes whizzed past blue lights.. Dropped Oscar home and a bloke in PJ trousers and mule slippers walked past (with a jacket) on to the bookies... Well it is Northfield !
As I drove back guess what another two ambulances blue lighted past me... Wow the 999's been busy today.

28.3.13 ffffriday !

I like Fridays not just because it's end of the week and me and dogs are tired.. It's a slower pace..
Picked Oscar, Bruce,Osric up then up to slippers... Nice walk to fisheries bit chilly but sun's poking out.. Picked Charlie and beau up next and dropped Osric home... His little feet can't walk to far... Good walk up to whetey bridge, sun was out, I h had big waterproof on... Sweating !
Monty and Milo next down to duck pond is lovely down there, bit vandalism here and there but in the main well kept... Walked slowly around dogs living the sun, as geese swans and ducks followed us hoping for food. Next bit of an unexpected break, lunch time, Oscar has a snooze... Zzzzz
Charlie Beau and tiko with Oscar around cotteridge park as it got cloudy, sky was a funny colour... Tiko still fancying his chances with Charlie. Back to rubery for m&m walk to renal hill and walks where done.. Oscar came back for tea.... Nice evening and dropped Oscar home for 830.... Weekends here !

27.3.14 solar roofs and busy busy

Thursday a normally easy day was packed today... Started early picked Oscar up and straight out with m&m up to whetey bridge nice walk and quite sunny... Milo bless him is slowing down.
Picked Bruce up then over to see Sid, new route went to billesley common, quite OK... We had it to ourselves...
Six Dodds next and into the garden, Cookie played the hunt the stone... 4 out of 5 returns. Next lulu and Minnie no wonder they have a half hour walk as they are knackered after five mins! Jumping all over each other and tieing me up!
Next to Alvechurch with fudge poppy Oscar and hermies went around to boat yard then up to church good walk as rain started.... Next Charlie and beau up to waseley and the sun came out... As I walked up one of the estates there was 22 houses, I counted them, and 8 had solar panels that's a third... There getting more and more popular , I wonder why no one hasn't come up with a tile that had solar properties... Dragons den idea 254  ;-)
M&M last walk up to renal as sky turned purple... A storm is brewing. Next to goku and the storm caught us.... With sleet just to be spring like !

25.3.14 hail storm

Wednesdays here, half way... Started with the leads and to fisheries with slippers, boy it was windy.
Monty and Milo nice wonder up to bridal path, nearly every road we walked along had a skip in it, I counted 6 skills on our journey, five full one just started off, the had a mattress in it and all had wardrobe doors in them around the edges !!
Up to cannon hill to see olive, sly was dull but rain held off... Nice play on field then do in the stream
Minnie next, being a rascal with Bruce ! Over to Romsley where they chased each around the park, Bess doing most of chasing.
Over to Alvechurch with fudge, sky was purple, mmmmm should I put waterproofs on??? Got hermies out, yer go on will put them on, just as well hall storm for the next ten minutes!!!
We made it to the canal and had good walk and play, m&m tea time walk next to renal hill, final walks with Charlie and beau to car track as rain held off. Nice day all round

26.3.14 not so busy

New Tuesday routine today, not as much traveling. Started off picking Oscar up then Bruce and Osric up to slippers, it was chilly even some puddles had ice in them... Good walk over waseley. Next m&m fudge over cofton, gonna rename it magpie park, saw a group of 10
, on the top field add the dogs ran and played., Milo plodding on. As we walked to the wood area we saw 16! Magpies... Not sure if any of the 10 had sneaked over, well all those magpies look alike :)
Then to sanders with poppy to see Daisey... Oscar has been chasing rats along the stream over the last few weeks and today he started digging for them ! Little dog he was covered in wet mud...as I was ahead I brought goku forward and walked him, nice in the day for a change
Charlie and beau next and trip to tiko , yes last week was supposed to be last week but had an extension.. Tiko feeling a bit amorous blew trying to mount Charlie, him standing up his paws didn't even reach her back.... M&m last walk and for a chance a earlish finish

24.3.14 new routine

A frosty morning the first in spring I think... Picked Oscar up and Monty and Milo to reservoir... Normal ten mins walk to wood took over 20.... To much sniffing. Next picked Bruce up, nice to have him back... Little walk for Osric to start then down to Alvechurch with fudge also... Great walk along canal fudge spending most time in canal chasing the ducks... Hermies back to normal barking every five mins... I'm sure it's a hey I'm still here you know !... Next Minnie and jumping over Bruce... Grrrr at each other, vocal staffs!
Sanders with poppy and Daisey, Oscar and Bruce and able to walk along stream wood path almost died out now.
Charlie and beau to the bingo hall, forgot the dobbers ;-)  as clouds came over... It was getting chilly.
Dropped Bruce back and picked Osric up to see m&m for final walk around village... Nice day, but still feel tired zzzzzzz

21.3.14 good bye little ones

Late start as Oscar off... Up to see slippers, her owner is poorly ATM... I'm worried about her.. Nice walk down to fisheries.
Next Charlie Beau Monty and Milo to the little reservoir lovely day sun's out... Gave way to a bloke, pulled dogs to one side on the path... No thank you or kiss my are... Some people so rude..
Minnie and Bess next sun was out , so hot so coat off... Within ten mins the heavens opened... We got soaked, as I hid under a tree Bess and lulu chased each other around and around...
Tiko and bramble next and today sadly is my last walk with them, thru wood and sun was out... I'll miss the little ones.
C&b last walk up to waseley and it turned cold, good run and play on the marshes... Ended with early finish in the sun with Monty and Milo.

20.3.14 brrrr chilly

The nice weathers gone... Please come back. It was freezing today started with Oscar and Monty and Milo up bridal path... The wind was picking up. Back thru the village as dogs got some fuss. Over to Romsley with fudge and poppys walk to middle meadow, just been able to get into the fields as sheep have been on there. Great run and play fudge carrying half a tree !
Six dogs next and it's still cold, played in the garden.... The find the pebble game. Double trouble next up to the quarry with Oscar peace keeper, they get on great together nice play. Over to kings heath hermies and Sid, and walk up to pub, dogs didn't offer a pint !
Herm not his normal self today quiet, windy still. Next picked Charlie and beau up and went to rednal hill as it turned gloomy, picked m&m up and had nice walk together. Headed back to c+b's as drizzle started.
Waterproofs on and up to goku's up to reservoir and nice walk even tho raining and very cold... Thursday finished and a tired damp Oscar dropped home

19.3.14 mid way

I like Wednesdays, one as it's mid week and two normally easier day.
Started off with Oscar and slippers nice walk to fisheries, wind picking up on hill. Chatted to slips owner, I'm hopeless at delaying myself... Only 20 mins behind next to m&m and deaf Jacki waved me down... So after she got onto her great aunties I knew this was gonna be a long chat... How do you do a fake call... Need to get away.... 15 mins I had to say I've gotta get on... M&M up to whetey bridge nice walk in the sun. Six dogs next and good play in the garden, cookie amazed me, I picked up a pebble thru to back of garden into the bushes and mulch and she found it, time and time again ! Over to cannon hill with hermies and fudge to see olive, Oscar too... Great run over to Holden wood and a dip in the stream, olive putting herm in his place. Saw a couple, well they stopped me, so what type dogs that, pointing to hermies, Hungarian ridge back, oh yar yar that's what I said, and that pointing to fudge, he's a collie springer, yar that's what Bryans got, yarr very good and walked off... I think I'm dismissed !
Next to Minnie and up to rednal hill, being a good girl today. Over to Romsley Bess and run up hill, chased ball for half hour bless she was knackered. Oscar just watched and rolled in horse Poo!

18.3.14 lady and the odd socks

Busy Tuesday started in the rain, well drizzle.... Went down to fisheries with slippers and Oscar... It was cold brrrrrr...
Next to cofton with m&m and rain got heavier saw Sargent major marching towards me arms aloft goooood morning , I nearly saluted him ! Pop into six dogs as it drizzled and dogs played in the garden.
Next to harbourne with poppy fudge Oscar to see bramble... Suns out nice walk thru wood chasing and playing... I'm sure harbourne is the builders capital, every street has a skip and workers in every other house... I'm reckon some lads serve their apprenticeships just in the houses of harbourne ....  Minnie and lulu n next and they behaived themselves today.... Well mostly... Minnie pounced on lulu when we got to hill !
Next to Bo, and new recruit Lady (bo's mate) to see tiko, good walk around cotteridge park as the wind picked up.
Feet aching due to dodgy socks, I knew they looked a bit wrong this morning but cba to change them... The airiation inlet or hole to you lot, had my toe poking out all day !
Final walk with Monty and Milo around the village then over to see goku and nice walk around Frankley to end a busy day .... dropped a tired Oscar home and ten hours of dog walking was done

17.3.14 oh what a lovely day

You know when you think that was a nice day..... Well today was one of those days, in fact it was a very nice day.
Sun was out as picked Oscar up then over to Monty and Milo's good walk up to the bridal path and run on the field. Next to six dogs into the garden and sun bathe... Zeus in happy mood waggy tail twisting.
Minnie next and nice walk up to post office, Minnie giving Oscar a hard time bless... Over to Alvechurch poppy fudge and hermies, as sun's out so are the summer clothes, or lack of, in one case. A woman jogging along canal had shorts so tight if she'd painted her legs it wouldn't have been as tight !
Lovely walk and fudge had swim in canal next to Charlie and beau up to waseley, it became a bit overcast. Beau panting so it's getting warmer.
M&m last walk and then dropped Oscar home, lovely sunny day nice pace easy going.

14.3.14 Fridays here

The last day of a busy week.. And roads blocked again !!!
Picked Oscar Charlie Beau and slippers up and nice walk down to Romsley fisheries bumped into John and cath and their three dogs, Charlie hiding slippers giving them a wide birth... Bit hyper the chocolate labs.. Finished the walk off and then to  Monty Milo to the quarry sun was blazing nice there in the woods dogs had good run searching for squirrels... Next up to harbourne with tiko bramble and lovely walk to wood then run down to the stream. Back to Romsley with lulu and bess, Oscar plodding on... Lulu doing laps with Bess in pursuit Oscar just sitting watching on... Looks like to much hard work in this sun!
Charlie and beau walk up rednal hill then picked m&m up to finish the weeks walks off.... Both Oscar and I ready for a weekend rest !

13.3.14 ding ding goes the bell

The last early start... And M5 was like a car park !!... normal 25 commute took an hour so late starts and catch up... Fog was still hanging when got to six dogs all out into garden and Stella and lyra kept apart by garden fence.. Brains eh.... Only took me two years to suss that out !
Picked m&m up then up to Oscars and up to tennis courts good walk and fog had shifted.. Being around school run time the roads next to the first school where busy... Cars parked anywhere and every where does no one walk to school now a days? Well dogs  we enjoyed it more wheels to cock a leg at ...
Over to Romsley with Charlie Beau Oscar and picked poppy up sun was shining on us went to cow fields ... no cows there today so nice walk run and play it's lovely around Romsley... Spring is certainly here daffs popping through and council cutting grass... and tops of flowers
Next to rubery with double trouble Minnie and lulu after the normal tangle the dog walker up game we went up to rednal hill nice walk almost a summers day.... Shades on and looking cool ! Yer !
Next to kings heath fudge hermies and did went to canal, now it's a lovely park but it attracts the winos... Warm 8%cider must have it's appeal ?? Two blokes off their heads on the bench with a very aggressive dog on a rope, poor dog it's only an extension of the owner... Hurling dunking abuse, apparently I've got a problem.... Now a 6ft plus bald dog walker with four dogs isn't the best person to ask if I have a problem... YES I've plenty you wanna hear them.... You being funny like.... No I ain't got a problem, I walked off.... We did have a nice walk along canal and dogs teased the ducks.... Bloody drunken idiots tho !
Next to Monty and Milo and hit another school run, as I'm around this area regularly I see some of the parents pick kids up get into a car and drive... Two three streets away... How bone idol is that, it's a lovely day and using the car ! There is quite a few walk of course young girls with push chairs so fair play to them... All the kids want to stroke the dogs and Milo and Oscar enjoy it... Monty not so sure.
Next to goku and school run three... One mother was puffing smoke into the air pointing so much thought she was going to take off... Happy days eh... Gokus owner was in the thick of it trying to get away from it all but girls will be girls....!
Nice walk up to reservoir and thru new estate goku panting in the sun and Oscar flagging behind... Next an extra call to Bess to walk and feed, its parent evening! Nice run over meadow and a busy day was done.

12.3.14 fog over the hill

Another early start and Rubery was covered in thick fog.... And freezing !! Six dogs first out into a garden, owners left me a card saying  thank you for all your help..... Awwww that was nice.
Next m&m to Oscars nice walk around manor park duck pond... The geese where chasing the ducks as the dogs watched a bit bemused... A bloke came up to me.... You can only have for dogs now ... yes I know.... And I've only 3 now.... Well be careful because maximum is 4 !
Is it me !... Next to waseley with Charlie beau Oscar and slippers, we went up the hill fog was thick only 100 yards visibility... Didn't loose any dogs... Well I think I didn't !
Next to six dogs again and fog was lifting sun trying to pop thru... Over to Romsley with Minnie Oscar and Bess good run and chasing each other. Tired dogs dropped home and next to cannon hill took hermies and fudge up to see olive, sun was out had great play with back and dip in the stream, I'm sure I met a real life smurf, white hair and long beard combo blue jacket and woolly pointed hat... Hat in this sun !

11.3.14 busy bee tuesday

Early start and sun shining bright, still fresh ! First call was to six dogs all out in two halfs, gotta keep stella and lyra apart.
Picked m&m up then up to Oscars for walk on fox park, first visit this month.... Nice morning walk.
Next to slippers with Charlie and beau, and Oscar.. Went down to fisheries, it's a lovely walk in the dry, nightmare in the wet. Views across to Romsley and the woods are wonderful.
Now to sanders with Poppy fudge and daisey... It was like a summers day... We had the whole park to ourselves... Well for half hour. Then group came on dogs mingled and played, dip into the stream and nice walk back.
Back to Rubery for double trouble Minnie and lulu, poor Oscar in between... After tangling each other up, and me we had a good walk and play.
Next to six dogs and owner had finished early so just a quick pop in.
Harbourne next with Bo tiko and bramble... Such a lovely day still, good walk and play in the woods, on way back dogs stopped next to a skip, the house was obviously having a new bathroom fitted as old one, sink, bath and toilet where on the drive... Woman came out to throw stuff onto skip, hello I said, you don't often see that, what she said???
An outside toilet!... Oh it's not one.... Oh no I said I've just used it...
Oh my goodness she said while lifting the seat !

Next to Monty and Milo and slow walk around then over to goku as Oscar and I flagged... Goku didn't hyper as ever. Good walk to finish a lovely sunny busy Tuesday.

10.3.15 sunny Monday

Suns out... A great way to start the week!
Picked Oscar up ... little walk then off to six dogs... Stella back, with rosette ! All good left in garden as drying out and no shows to worry over, Zeus was in form today and unusually friendly... Next to cofton with fudge m&m ... and Oscar of course ... blue Sky's and spring sun dogs having a great run... cofton was busy, four times I was asked "... are they all yours??"... just as we where walking off fudge decided to run 100 yards in opposite direction and have a poo !... Dogs you just love them 🐕💩💜.... then to add, a woman stopped to chat... What training techniques can you recommend !..... so 15 mins behind dropped dogs and went to Charlie and beau, went to canal with hermies, his eyes lit up when he saw two new female dogs to play with... had to keep Charlie on lead tho.., still on heat .... only one long boat on canal, mass exodus.... Where they gone? Do they know something we don't !
Back to six dogs and sun still shining, all out in garden and sparkle chasing and winding the others up!
next picked poppy up over to Bromsgrove next to walk daisey..... Sadly Poppy owner text me to say polka, her cat, and pops best friend was PTS at the weekend... So sad, polka was lovely.
Dogs had great run over park which was busy, also must have been a school off as kids everywhere.... Or they'd bunked off in mass due to sun !
All dropped home then Monty and Milo had final walk around village... Oscar home after a lovely spring day ....

7.3.15 quick run Friday

Friday started in the sun! Whoop whoop... picked Oscar up then over to Charlie and beau up to waseley with slippers... Too many sniffing around so took twice as long to get there as normal... Nice slow walk not many around.. Next stop to Monty and Milo up to Rubery bridal path as sun shone... People watching today and what made me laugh was when people go to cross a road and a car comes.. They do that upper body run but the legs move at the same pace... Saw this while out with m&m a bloke brought his arms up .. pumped them as if to run, head down leading forward but moving no quicker than a walk !
Six dogs next... With Stella still at crufts five in the garden for a play and sun bathe .. naughty Oscar nicked my Turkish delight while back was turned !
Now to harbourne with tiko bramble and Oscar great wood walk and run... Busy today walkers all over the place. Next to Romsley for Billy's last walk, took lulu over too, walked up to Bess then a great run play on park.. Next to Charlie beau with m&m up to rednal hill sun still shining... On way back past mini market saw a woman do the quick body walk over the road... This with an added hand wave... Funny.. Last call to five dogs and last garden break off the day... Busy week now time to recharge my batteries !

Well done Stella a first and third at Crufts

6.3.14 a crufts winner !

Drizzly morning to start the day... Sneaked over to a very muddy callowbrook... Walk took twice as long poor dogs wet cold and muddy! Next to six dogs... Well only 5 today as Stella is at crufts so two visits today.... Next to Minnie and lulu they get on so well.... Two pups, nice walk to quarry and a good play, well more like a wrestle with each other.. Over to kings heath with poppy and billy, and a damp tired Oscar, picked sid up and went to top canal, the house on canal is almost finished only took 2 years .... drizzled all the way around.
Dropped them all off then to Alvechurch, hermies supposed to be limping.... Well no limping but plenty of running and barking, nothing wrong with him ! Fudge swimming again and being chased by swans.... Back to 5 dogs and drizzle still with us.... Wonder how Stella got on.... Oh she a maremma, an Italian sheep dog.
Next m&m walk around a wet and boggy park then over to see goku, the rain has stopped ! New route today nice and quiet, finished off..
Got a text saying Stella... Got first place in post graduate bitch and third in open !
Brilliant !!!

5.3.15 joggers

Another sunny day... Picked Oscar up, chat with his owner about dentists, me being an expert now !
Slippers next and no dilemma today... Went to fisheries nice run... Oscar teasing slippers... She won't chase you Oscar !
Next up to renal hill with m&m Charlie and beau... Charlie still on heat so Monty and his lipstick on show... Boy did I work hard on that walk keeping them apart... Next to Romsley with billy and Bess.... It was such a lovely day nice walk around village then run on park. Up to cannon hill to walk olive, now new rules in force where obviously not being adhered too... I kept Oscar and olive on long lead yet everyone else just let dogs run around as normal.... A bloke jogged over  He fused the dogs .... boy his Lycra shorts where tight...  it was obvious he wasn't Jewish !
Next to Alvechurch, hermies fudge Oscar the archers and afternoon play nice stroll as the dogs played and fudge swam after the ducks ... got text from 6 dogs need a quick visit... So over to see them, all poshed up for crufts tomorrow... Last walk with m&m and nice day was complete.

4.3.14 busy bee !

Here's Tuesday as always a busy one..... Started by picking Oscar up then to slippers after a minor panic over dog boarding... and half hour behind the dogs had walk up to waseley, its warm maybe the hat will come off !
Next Monty Milo up renal hill, Milo on a go slow this morning, worse when your in a hurry, virtually had to pull him up the hill, Monty and Oscar ran off as normal to play in the bramble... Oscar came out eventually with a bone... Goodness knows which animal human it came off !
Over to Charlie and beau with fudge and second visit up to waseley, the flip flop man was about this time with his binoculars... Mmmm who's he spying on.. Dogs had nice walk as fudge wrestled with half a tree...
Next picked Minnie up and walked up to drop fudge off... Through to little wood and it was almost a summers day... sanders next with Billy Oscar poppy and daisy... Park is drying out and the path has had Multch dropped on... Dogs especially Oscar found something to roll in.... chatted to Cheryl, thanked her for quoting this morning over the Slippers boarding mad half hour.... Good walk around park,
Up to harbourne with little tiko Bo Oscar and bramble... Went to queens park where they had good run and play. Flagging both Oscar and I headed back to Rubery, m&m walk to corner shop, lotto on again... I should checked them occasionally might be a millionaire !!!
Last walk was worth goku, long lead on and sun still shining we went over field,, good run and the odd mouse hunt... All done and 11 hours of walking was done... As was I !

3.3.14 new rules

Mondays here..... Again ! Picked Oscar up then off to see Rocky the cat, feed and clean we went to pick Monty and Milo up, new Birmingham council rules came into affect on 1st, maximum number of dogs one person can have on a walk is 4,  where they got that number from is anyone's guess, anyhow upshot is I can't walk m&m Oscar and c&b so had to split these up which means an extra walk.... bonus tho.. Found a fiver down duck pond !
walks to duck pond then car track done headed to Bromsgrove, no new rules there, poppy billy and Daisey with Oscar and a nice walk run over a damp sanders, rain started again... In fact it pee'd down.... popped to garage for fiver worth of diesel ....
Minnie was next and little walk to renal hill picked fudge up on way down then to Alvechurch run along canal still raining, started new book this morning but broke off for archers and afternoon play... Boy the play was sad porcelain doll based on the murder of 21 year Sophie Lancaster, I remembered the case at the time she was a Goth and her and her boyfriend got beaten up at a skate park... He was kicked unconscious she lay on him to protected him and the thugs just continued to kick her,.... she died :'-(
This being sad enough then the play had her mother give a final  statement, tears welled up...it was heart breaking .....
Next to 6 dogs... Had to stay on patio as been washed and groomed, they're going to Crufts this year so was on strick instructions to keep off mud !
Last walk with m&m, dropped Oscar and a busier than normal Monday was done.
