Morning started in the rain and sleet over waseley with Oscar Charlie beau and slippers... Battled through along the path down to the woods, poor dogs where soaked, as was I ! Dropped a damp slippers off then headed back, just before M5 bridge, old house lane a dog ran out in front of us, an American bull dog, I stopped tried to get him but he bolted... I followed worried he'd run down onto motorway, he stopped and I tried to get him, he was more interested in what was in the car, Oscar barking at him... So I got Oscar out of the car gave him a fuss and the dog came over, he was lovely, froze wet and dirty... Took him to blue cross, unfortunately he wasn't chipped but they kept him..... Hopefully a new owner will come forward he was lovely..

Next to Monty and Milo as bad weather stopped nice walk up to see lulu, been good today only two things chewed... Went to cofton... Dogs had great play... especially Monty and lulu..
Over to harbourne with tiko and bramble... Oscar in tow... through woods it was busy, dog walker central this afternoon, good play and meet up. Then to Romsley with C&B and Billy good run over Huntington fields, the only ones not boggy, still Oscar and Charlie rolled around !
M&M for last walk and put lotto on .... fingers crossed !

27.2.14 frozen pea hail

Nice morning sun was out, roads quiet and half awake... Picked a sleepy Oscar up and we went to see Monty and Milo, they're getting new fences fitted, as most people are due to recent winds... Funny how people think I live at the houses, m&M's neighbour is sure I live there no matter how many times I tell her ! Any way fencers where chatting away about the fence and what I need to do.... Eventually I got a word in... I don't live here !
Nice walk to rubery's hidden gem the quarry dogs chasing the squirrels... Next to kings heath with poppy billy and Oscar to see Sid.., walk started in the sun so no Indiana hat on, it was like a summers day... Then clouds came over and the hail started.. by it was like frozen peas stotting off us. We hid in the wood for a bit
Dried off we headed to see double trouble Minnie and lulu... Picked Minnie up and headed to pick lulu up..... Oh no ! She'd been  a' chewing and pooing again... walked to wood then back to tidy up... Little pup!!!
Next to Alvechurch with fudge and hermies went over wood to boat yard and along canal... And the hail started again.. Petits pois this time !... Hardened and a bit damp we went to new station and down by church... Next to m&m up to renal hill nice walk... Oh and the fence is finished.. As we walked up saw two woman coming towards us... You know when you see someone but just can't place them well I had that.. as the dogs sniffed around the face coming towards me was familiar, grey ish lose curly hair long face thin body... Legging 3\4 length black tights.. Silver earrings and makeup ... sure I knew her.. Hi she said you OK... Yes fine and you ... we past ...BLOODY HELL .... it was a bloke I knew ...Phil from Redditch .... well well...
Charlie and beau Oscar and a shocked me next went up to waseley centre, nice walk a very quiet no one out this afternoon dogs had path ways to themselves... Next to goku and we went mouse hunting in the field next to the Frankley car track... Feet shore or day was over... Dropped Oscar home busy day... One to go !

26.2.14 mid week

Late start.. Well just after 9, for those interested the swellings has gone down but my bloody gum is sore !
Picked Oscar up then went to see slippers, nice walk to fisheries... There's been a crane on Romsley hill this week they're talking the phone mast down... Bit by bit... Mind they should have asked the 'old iron' blokes to get it away.... Would have been down lorried and scrapped by half ten Monday !
Next to Monty and Milo and along bridal party... Still lovely and sunny, nice lead walk... Bumped into a few people nice chat and catch up.
Minnie was next still excitable bless she is a lovely dog... Nice walk to quarry where Minnie and Oscar has a play... Really quiet down there hidden gem!
Up to pick Bo up then over to cannon hill to see olive... Nice walk to pitches for a run... Bumped into two ladies walking this dogs... They stopped to chat "I was going to be a dog walker....but sometimes I just can't be bothered and wouldn't go out in the rain, cold, snow or wind ....!
Mmmmm maybe not your vocation then ???
Over to Romsley for billy and Bess... Oscar too, good walk then run over the meadow, next to Alvechurch with fudge and hermies took a new route along canal, chatted to one long boat owner, owner of Rosie the boat... He's been living on the canal for 7 years just moving every few days or week... He told me his business failed and had debts, he split from his wife then had house repossessed... Luckily he's squirreled a few quid away, bought the boat and thats how he lives... And loves it !   I asked him if he was called Jim.... Sadly not, Alan...
Back to Rubery for Charlie and beau over to callowbrook fields nice walk in the sun and showers and a double rainbow brightened the sky, last walk with m&m up to golf where we saw a huge toad... Dogs had a good sniff... He just sat there !
Busy day mid week.... All down hill now

25.2.14 B.A.F Tuesday

Early start as busy day ahead... Picked Oscar up then over to see slippers a lovely sunny day down waseley along the trail...  Surprisingly  no one about ... good walk.
Next to cofton with m&m fudge sunny but chilly up on the hill, a few walkers around as I drifted into woman's hour debates the dogs decided to go off in pairs... In different directions ..!
After rounding them up, and the offer of biscuits we got back on track.
Next stop to sanders with pop billy and daisy, and of course Oscar.. Park is drying out and was very busy, dogs ran over to a woman... These all yours , no I'm a dog walker... Oh so there not yours.. no I walk them, oh is  this one yours (pointing to Oscar) no but he's with me.... So he's yours... NO ! I'm a dog walker... Oh she said... Think it sunk in
Back to Rubery to see 6 dogs for garden wee break and the sun was still shining.. Next Minnie and new recruit lulu... Unfortunately she had been a little naughty and decided to have a bit of a chew with chalks, dolly and whatever she could get ! Bless.....
Up to harbourne next with tiko and bramble... As Oscar tired we had nice run over queens park.. Nice little park bramble having a good chase with Oscar, tiko too shy to join in.
Back to Rubery for Charlie and beau up to renal hill and picked m&m up on the way school run was on at same time so dogs had to stop every few steps for kids to say hello... Finally up to see goku and the sun hid and as normal on a last walk the showers started... Good walk on a new route through the new estate... A busy day and rushed around like a blue arsed fly both Oscar and I shattered.....
Flew back and straight to dentist... Now like a hamster but its out !!!!

24.1.14 be quiet !

Monday started with a trip to the garage, a little later than normal picked Oscar up and the sun was shining... Off to see m&m and unfortunately they'd been burgled  :(
Over to the duck ponds with the dogs and it was like a summers day.. Through the little wood and the tree that had fallen down a couple of weeks ago and blocked the path had been cut up reopening the path way... Quite enjoyed the off path route... Funny the lumber jack must have had a sense of humour... Shhhhh in the woods he left his mark.
Nice walk to start off then to sanders with holiday dog Billy, he's lovely and lively ! Sun still shining the dogs had a good run around the park... It was busy, well sun's out....
Next to Rubery for four dogs and trip to flyover.. In four different directions ...
Next to Alvechurch and it was warming up the canal was busy three new long boats, one must have been washing Monday, made me laugh every part of the boat had wet clothes drying and clothes horse on the path full and funniest of all the bunting was made from 10 Pairs of knickers !!
Over to see Charlie and beau and  leisurely stroll to the bingo halls... Not to play ...

21.2.14 hands full

End of the week is here... Half asleep first stop was to slippers with Charlie and beau... Waseley was nice sun out and the rangers in force... It takes 5 rangers to start a fire, 1 to do it and 4 to stand watch and give pointing advice....
Good walk down the trail and around the woods dogs toddled along... Next to Rubery bridal path with Monty and Milo and first "you've got yer hands full of the day" next to four dogs, Thelma jack Heidi and harry up to rednal hill and my second "hands full" mind you I do with 5 dogs and two of them shooting in every direction, Heidi and jack !
Back to renal hill with Minnie again a far easier walk, up to cotteridge park with Charlie and beau to see tiko, Charlie is in heat bless tiko he tried his best jumping up at her... Mind even on his back legs he didn't even reach her mid drift ... then my 3 rd "hands full of the day"..
Monty and Milo next around golf and day was done, Oscar home and so was I

20.2.14 two halves

Today is gonna be split into two halves, tooth ache, so a dentist visit is required !
Picked Oscar up early and straight to cofton with fudge M&M sun was shining as the dogs had a great run around, busy park this morning, an elderly couple stopped me asking why I had so many dogs, then they wanted to know each of their names... 23 attempts later they got it !
Picked poppy up then off and see Sid, it was lovely along the canal... I've an habit of pocket phone calls.. Today's lucky recipient was Nikki (sids owner)
Next Minnie to the quarry she's getting allot better on the lead, terriers to the flyover then mad rush to dentist... Chin gum throbbing !
After a prod and x ray I was given anti biotics...
Last walks had some help from Aaron ...goku Charlie beau and Oscar spring showers around Frankley and a good catch...m&m ended the day.
Tired busy day... But.....Chin up !

19.2.14 Wednesday

What a lovely day... After picking Oscar had to make quick stop at chemist, I've had bad tooth ache for a few weeks and the pain was killing today, obviously far worse than child birth only second to man flu ! Drugged up we went to waseley with slippers, busy today plenty of walkers out early on.. Nice wonder down wood path, Monty and Milo next to quarry and it was a lovely spring day... My jaw hanging not a good look ! Dropped them at groomers, hair cut time 

 Two half walks next then up to cannon hill with Bo, olive fudge and Oscar dogs had good run chasing the gulls and crows. Next to meet new dog lulu, staff cross I reckon staff collie, six month old will give Minnie a run for it ! Starts next week. Bruce and Oscar then up to the marshes with Charlie and beau, it was muddy, me and beau kept to the path others ran chased and played in the mud! Picked m& m up, awwwhhh half the dogs they where and final walk, me Oscar and the ever increasing chin went home 

18.2.14 tough Tuesday

Half term traffic has stopped and the roads back to busy... Picked Oscar up... He's staying day and extra today... Over to waseley with slippers and the hill fog was hanging... Nice walk kept to the path as the hill has been so muddy lately.
Monty and Milo next and the blue sky was with us... Nice walk to whetey bridge, it was actually warm!
Over to sanders next with poppy as the sun shone, getting a sweat on!
There was loads of walkers out, well nice weather.. Dogs had great time playing and meeting new friends...
Goku was next, changed time so not so much traveling... Nice walk around sunny Frankley. . Charlie and beau over to see tiko next and the rain started.... Rainbow out as we got soaked... M&M half hr walk then back... Oscar came back for tea, bless he could hardly keep his eyes open... Dropped him home for 830,.... a long day for a little dog

17.2.14 half term

Half term week which meant the normal 35 ish minuet drive to pick Oscar up was easily done in 20 mins... Nice morning to start off we went to pick up Monty and Milo and a nice walk to duck ponds, the fallen tree was still blocking the path but us off roaders quickly hoped over... Mind Milo needed a bit persuading, bless he's getting older.
Listening to my new book as the walk ended the rain started,, a call from fudge, well his owner and that's 3 off this week, Bess and bramble being the others.
Next with poppy to sanders to walk Daisey, park is still soaked and path ways full of mud and peat... As we walked towards car park a lady with 2 labs was just about to put the dogs leads on after their walks, one of the dogs decided to roll in the mud... he went from black to brown in seconds !
Over to Minnie next and a drizzly walk around quarry, then to hermies as I continued with my book, a break for the archers ... as it's getting spicy lately ! So middle aged eh ...
Hermies reportedly had a limp but no sign off it today, think he's having his owner on. Charlie and beau next to bingo hall in the rain, nice walk as the day ended.. M&M had last walk then dropped Oscar home as the roads still quiet... Nice start to the week 😁

14.2.14 hearty day

With love in the air I walked Charlie beau and slippers up a muddy windy and very cold waseley hill... It was blowing a gale.. Charlie wanted to run through all the mud.. A wash at the toilet block was a must... Dogs weren't too happy tho !
Over to Monty and Milo as I tuned into woman hour, half and half its been recently... We went to duck pond via woods, a huge tree had come down over the path, we had to climb over to get through... Off road eh!
Two half her walls at lunch time terriers up to a stormy renal hill and Bess to Romsley park we got soaked!!
Next to see tiko, rain stopped and it was quite nice... The wind picked up and park was empty.. I've started a new book which kept me company... Tiko was cold bless him as the drizzle started....
Picked c&b with m&m for last walk to renal quarry nice end to a stormy wet week...

13.2.14 sun is smiling

The suns out... Unbelievably as the weather has been so bad recently... Early start, up to waseley with five dogs as the sun blessed us. Nice walk thru woods and along path way, another car has found its way into the trees, wrapped in police tape, bloody idiots going too fast ...
Lunch time picked Bruce and Osric up, lovely to see them.. Dropped Osric back and we went over to see Minnie, she was excited to see a new dog... Well she is excited any time !
Over to kings heath it was like a summers day... New coat was warm !
Next to hermies with fudge... Lovely walk along canal, Bruce and herm pushing for top dog ... told them off !
Dropped Bruce and took Osric with m&m last walk of the day... Had a little flurry of snow as sun shone... Where did that come from !
Final walk of a busy day with goku.. Trousers went white bless him he is still moulting, surprised he had any fur left !
Dropped Oscar off and a ten hour day was over !😴

12.2.14 rain rain go away !

Duck weather again.. First walk with the five dogs up to Frankley car track... International grand Prix (well for model cars)
The dogs had a nice walk to track then along cycle path as the rain soaked us... Dried the dogs and over to cannon hill next.. Rain settled a bit but the wind was gale force ! Met a woman with 2 dogs she was a bit of a hippy , blue and pink hair full length trench coat a thin Jo Brand 😁.. her greyhound Alfie had little boots on and she had stitched milk bottle foil tops on to his jacket.... Bizarrely she reckons she can see him in the dark better ?
We went up to the RSPB woods not a soul on the park so the dogs ducks and geese had it to themselves !
Next Minnie Bess and Oscar over Romsley park where it hammered down, damp and a half hour run later fudge and Oscar, with me just for the driving headed to Alvechurch for hermies, again the rain done is best but we're hardened you know …. as we headed back the last few mins the sun came out !
Final walk of the day was with m&m up to renal hill another busy damp day

11.2.14 snow way !

The snow here.. Rain started the morning walks ..slippers Oscar and I went to Romsley fisheries and got soaked, even the ducks where hiding !
Off to cofton, guess what we where the only ones there ! Monty Milo Charlie and beau with Oscar still soaked and the blizzard started !!!
Agghhhh it was freezing poor dogs kept running to the trees and bushes for shelter... Like 6 snow men and dogs we limped back to the car for a towel down and heaters on full !
Next to sanders with poppy and Oscar, couldn't find daisy when I got there had to ring owners... Got thru to Al, he was in Dubai ! International dog walking.... Finally found Daisey asleep under the quilt ! Went to sanders and it was flooded (see video https://www.facebook.com/pets.services )
Rain and snow has stopped thankfully... Next to Rubery tried Minnie with terriers... She was very excited , and behaved 😀
Over to harbourne next with fudge tiko and bramble... Sunshine and blue sky's unbelievably ... went to woods dogs love running and chasing thru the trees.. Bumped into a bloke with two lurchers, he wasn't a all there! Good morning he said... It's afternoon I replied.... You sure ? Yes it's half two 😀  oh .... he turned away then back and said good afternoon !! ....I replied Good morning !😇
He had such a blank look !
Off to m&m around park as sun still shone... Then up to see goku... Still moulting... Needed his fur still as it got cold again.. Busy enjoyable day !

10.2.14 starts with a walk

Here we go again... Each week starts with a walk, up to waseley five dogs and my new coat !
Weather not the best today rained so heavily at lunch time coat had a good first day test. Sanders and Alvechurch in the afternoon, as the rain turned to sleet...
Nice last few walks before dad's taxi...

7.2.14 sun's out

What a difference a day make... Sun's out and dry!! Started off with slippers and Oscar to waseley and yes it was busy... Well weather is good..
Over to cofton next dogs had great run, walked around with some others at one time there was 10 dogs running around.. Up to harbourne woods at lunch time with Bailey and bramble as the sun shine broke through the trees.... Ah very nice.. meet a walker there with two box terriers... Millie and Bryan !! Funny first time meet a dog called Bryan 😁
Over to Romsley to give Bess a run on the park.. It's still muddy.
Then up to cotteridge park to see the squirrels with Charlie beau Oscar and tiko... No squirrels to chase !! We did meet Milo and his owner Fran ... an elderly woman (72.... as she told me ) very colourful, green trousers bright orange leg warmers and bohemian jacket.... She told me all the secrets of the park... And her dress wasn't the only colourful thing... Boy she swore like a trooper !
Next to m&m last walk a woman at the bus stop started waving at me, I didn't recognise her so walked over, still waving I looked behind me.... Just In case she was waving at someone behind me... No one there... She waved again so I walked over then she took a puff on an inhaler ! Doh !
Oscar dropped and a lovely end to the week ! 

6.2.14 knockout!

Early start for a Thursday... Picked Oscar up then off to m&m Charlie and beau... Five dogs on leads ain't the easiest ... oh the tangles, nice walk to the car track, dogs all get on so not to bad.. As we neared the end two young woman walking same way, one was on her mobile shouting and moaning at boy friend, by the time she'd past me I knew her  life story ... heard her say "... you can't tell me to get a job... When you don't even give me money for our kid !!".
.. is it me ?
Next to see six dogs, Stella still away so just the five, cookie is a jumper as I stood next to the fence she jumped hit the garden lantern which swung around and whacked me on the cheek bone.. Split Cheek swollen and black eye on the way ... who says dog walking is a walk in the park 😉
Minnie next, she's getting better still very excited... Went to quarry, so over grown. Kings heath next with Bo Bailey and Sid and down to the canal, quite nice down there, and quiet today. Dogs have loads of space as never anyone around.. Saw a postie laughing his head of as he looked at his mobile, something obviously tickled him.... What may me laugh as he walked into a hedge !
Next to Alvechurch and the rain started, and it poured down, two anglers on the canal today, including grumpy one... He actually smiled at the dogs as they ran over to him, he must of had a catch..... As we walled along I saw a husky on a long lead, Odin ?? It was !
M&M up to rednal hill for afternoon walk and rain eased off... Last walk again was with goku, we took a new route up to the farm tried to keep in the trees as rain continued to soak us... Another busy day and froze with a black eye for my efforts 😕

5.2.14 kite flying

Its a windy start today picked Oscar up then off to slippers... Waseley was quiet, not surprised it was blowing a gale.....
Next to little reservoir back of greens poor dogs where getting soaked... And me !
Today's was for the hardy or the daft ? Think I was both!!! It was gale force wind must have been 60 mph... could have flew the dogs on the lead
Woman's hour hadn't been to interesting these last few days, as we walled thru little wood a bloke appeared from nowhere..... Can you tell me where Morrison's is, my sat nav isn't working... Your right I said your on foot and in the wood 😁
Next to cannon hill with Oscar Bo bailey and olive... Boy did it lash down even the ducks where hiding.. Bo was muddy top to toe, olive not far behind, so a dip in the puddles was needed.... radio 4 Claire in the community was on.... Very funny, quote of the day "I want the courses and must be vegetarian.... So you mean no meat in the pudding ???"😁
Damp and froze off to pick the minx up and over to Romsley to see Bess, good play and run over park as rain continued to pour down.
Alvechurch next, hermies is back to full walks so along a very wet canal tow path, only one boat moored up. .. .
Last walk with m&m both Oscar and me where wet through froze and worn out, wind screen crack has doubled !!! Bit of a dog leg, apt I thought !

4.2.14 here's hoping !

Suns out today... Bit of a chill though..
Picked Oscar up then off to waseley with Slippers, quite busy this early, nice weather brings the fair weather walkers out.. Nice walk down the track and little chat afterwards.
Next was over to cofton all five dogs, again busy dogs had good run and play, Charlie and Monty finding something to roll in ! Saw the king charlse puppy she getting on well, being braver and chasing with the other dogs.
Next to see six dogs, which was just five today as Stella is on heat.
Afternoon started with Minnie.. Nice walk to renal hill and picked fudge up on way down. Sanders park in the afternoon with poppy and daisy walked the opposite way then normal, mixing it up eh !
Saw Cheryl nice chat and sorted some dog boarding for April.
Off up to harbourne with tiko and bramble, as we walked towards queen park the path is wide enough for 2 people to pass but not a young mother pushing a pram and me with 3 dogs, so I waited but she was texting away and didn't look up, she was heading towards the wall, I thought she's gonna hit it... ! Excuse me I shouted, she looked up straightened up and went straight back to texting walked past with not a thank you or kiss my arse !
Anyhow queen park was nice good run, chatted with a lady with a jack Russell , we laughed about accents, she thought I was from Glasgow, well it's better than the black country which I was recently accused of.... Kipper tie !
M&M and put lottery on... Here's hoping. Last walk was with goku around Frankley it certainly is getting lighter these nights as normally dark when I walk him... All done and a nice day

3.2.14 how's the crack !

Mondays here... you know I like Mondays always have a bit of a smirk as I go off in the mornings... Some people's faces... They look so miserable, just as miserable as they look on Monday evening as they head home!
Picked Oscar up and off to Monty and Milo... Nice walk to duck pond, I wanted to finish my book today, had just over 2 hours left....
Next walk was fudge, picking him up is like an obstacle course getting him, side alley is full of tools ladders hoses !!
Off up to waseley marshes with Charlie and beau too... They had a great run chasing each other, muddy tho ! Beau just tottled along with me....
Lunch time walk with Minnie... The minx down to the quarry, sun even trying to break out.. As the wind picked up we were off to sanders park, poppy daisy and Oscar... It was blowing a gale as we walked down, Cheryl drove passed, beeped, as I looked up and waved... My Indiana hat flew off !
Muddy still on sanders we walked thru wood over to little farm, saw another dog walker... You got plenty of work, she asked.. Yes fully booked up had two new dogs as well, so even busier now.... Ah well I'm more selective then you she snarled 😬
Finished my book, it was brilliant the lies of Locke Lamora... narration by Michael Page I can't recommend it enough, would love to see it as a film..
Over to see hermies, now he's still not fully fit so just a half hour walk around park, school was coming out... Kids all over the place... Next to Rubery for last walk with m&m and another school run... You know I must have seen 4 or 5 lollie  pop ladies at both schools.... And I'm sure they all looked the same, I don't mean dressed, as they are but faces the same.... Wonder if they clone them ??
Dropped Oscar off... Headed back... Now on Friday my wind screen had a stone chip and it split, about 3 inches by Sunday 5 inches today at least 9 inches along the bottom of the screen.... Well it reminds me out something else that grows that long 😉
